Applications of ChromaTwist Products

ChromaTwist fluorophores are aromatic organic materials comprising of donor and acceptor groups. The chemistry is simple yet unique allowing for highly modular systems, where each part can be changed. Such features give rise to unique and tunable optical properties.

ChromaTwist’s materials are naturally suited for use in the biological and medical field however, due to the adaptable nature of the chemistry there are numerous other possible applications. ChromaTwist is actively seeking and developing relationships with potential partners and end-users to further develop the technology and expand the range of applications.

The ChromaTwist UV fluorescent probes that feature:

  • For UV lasers (including 355 nm and 405 nm excitation)
  • Large range of colours
  • Tunable solubility
  • Bright emission
  • Reactive groups to bind to substrates

The ChromaTwist UV fluorescent probes series is designed for UV (including 355 nm and 405 nm) lasers in biological imaging applications such as flow cytometry and microscopy.

The ChromaTwist multiphoton probes that feature:

  • IR laser excitation
  • Large range of colours
  • Tunable solubility
  • Bright emission
  • Reactive and non-reactive groups

The ChromaTwist multiphoton probes series is designed to deliver high performance for multi – photon microscopy. During live liver imaging these probes have been shown to be gentle, bright and perfuse effectively in human tissue. Fluorescent probes with and without reactive groups are available.

The ChromaTwist UV fluorescent dyes that feature:

  • UV excitation (from 280 nm to 405 nm)
  • Large range of colours
  • Tunable solubility
  • Solid and solution state emission
  • High Brightness
  • Very high thermal stability
  • Dispersion within different materials (e.g. polymers)
  • Thermotropic liquid crystal phases
  • No heavy metals

The ChromaTwist UV fluorescent dyes series absorb in the UV range and emit across the full visible range of the colour spectrum. These high Stokes shift materials offer unique properties allowing for extensive use in a range of applications.
